Who we are

TheSteamery.com operates a marketplace that connects people who need steam cleaning ("customers") with steam-cleaning businesses ("pros"). This notice explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

From customers who post a job: your name, contact details (phone, email, address), and the details of the job you describe. From pros who register: your name, business details, contact details and payment identifiers held by our payment processor.

How we use it

Customer details are shared with the pro (or small, capped group of pros) who unlock your job lead, so they can contact you about the work. We show only an approximate location publicly; full contact details are released only after a pro pays for that lead. We use pro details to operate accounts, process payments and provide support.

Lawful basis & consent

When you post a job you consent to being contacted by pros about it. You can ask us to remove your details at any time using our removal request form.

Payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain only a customer reference and transaction identifiers needed for receipts and refunds.

Retention & your rights

We keep lead and account records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your data — contact us at support@thesteamery.com.
